Brain Fog

This is a tough one - lots of possible causes.  Generally there are two broad causes for this:

  1. Not getting enough good quality blood to your brain:
    • Blood deficiency
    • Blood sugar regulation problems
    • Thyroid problems
  2. Toxins in your blood
    • Ingesting toxins
    • Food sensitivities (these foods become toxins to your body)
    •

Treatments:

Blood deficiency:  Try B12 - it's easy and non-toxic.  2000 mcg once a day, dissolved under your tongue - takes a couple of weeks to notice the change.

Blood sugar problems:  You need to get refined carbohydrates out of your life - sugars, breads, pasta.  Move your diet toward more vegetables - reduce processed foods.  There are supplements that can help get your blood sugar back in line:   I like Bio-Glycozyme and Glucobalance by Biotics Research.

Thyroid problems:  Check your Basal Temperature.   If low, you need to bring it up.  MDs will give you hormone replacement, natural practitioners will try to get your thyroid working again.

Toxins:  Get them out of your life.  Common toxins are coffee, alcohol, drugs (including prescription).

Discover your food sensitivities and eliminate those foods from your diet.

There are some supplements that directly effect brain function.  You can see them in our catalog.
